The Toyon Bay Yacht Club
Sailing Our sailing program at Junior Sea Camp is one of our most popular programs. Headed by our oddly named Sail Staff, the Toyon Bay Yacht Club (TBYC) will introduce you to the world of wind powered boats. Before the campers even touch the boats or the water they are given an introduction into the sailing lifestyle by taking the oath of the TBYC and are made honorary life-long members of the club. Next it's time to sail!
- You will have an opportunity to paddle Leilani, our 42 foot Hawaiian outrigger canoe.
- You'll paint wind pennants complete with your very own "sea name."
- You will even board our Catamarans, our two-hulled racing boats.
- You might even try standing or paddling our paddle boards.
- Of course you'll be enjoying the sun and the beach too!
Don't know how to sail? Don't worry! Our highly trained instructors will captain our boats as you become helpful crew members and help steer things the right way. Don't forget your sunscreen, pirate attitude, and prepare to get wet! |
